Many organisations struggle with the planning and execution of multi-year and complex renewal of Business Applications. Triggers for renovation
may include legacy problems, new business strategy, merger and acquisition, business process outsourcing (BPO) etc. Many companies are currently
in transition from batch-oriented core applications to full-fledged real-time processing with on-line access for customers and suppliers.
Business applications are often interconnected and complicated. Interconnectivity of business applications may hamper one-by-one redevelopment
and lead to complex migrations. The responsibility for these business applications is often split over several internal entities or external
service providers. The current diversity of involved parties in business applications distracts from clear focus on large change projects aiming
for redevelopment of core applications. The results of these large change programmes are quiet often insufficient and disappointing.
